Growing up in New Zealand I played all and any sport I could. Rugby, hockey and cricket were my main sports until finally focusing only on hockey. That brought me to Ireland where I was first introduced to CrossFit and became a CrossFit coach. From there the journey began, firstly completing the OPEX CCP course to elevate my coaching, then slowly found a growing interest in physical therapy. From there came a qualification in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy and numerous other courses and mentorships to continue my development.
Training and sport has meant injuries and setbacks. Having experienced these myself there is an understanding of what it is like to go through them and where I felt most training options fell short. I have suffered from ongoing low back pain, herniated disc in C6-C7 and the associated nerve pain, broken collarbone, torn meniscus, just to name a few!
It seemed I had an innate ability to train myself back to health, but I lacked understanding to help others. So it became my goal to better understand biomechanics, training principles, rehab principles and anything in between so that I could confidently help others do the same.

Having coached elite athletes in multiple sports and developing a sound understanding of biomechanics my strength lies in the ability to appropriately assess and challenge the body. This means that no matter what phase of rehab or training you are in you will be training at the highest level you can.
The assessments allow me to give you a clear plan to fix your pain and either get you back or keep you training. They are there to eliminate those recurring niggles, to improve your efficiency, to allow you to train and compete more often and with confidence.
Outside of that I am applying what I know to hockey and my speciality, dragflicking. Currently this includes:
